Specifically these are songs with City in the title, but not names of cities. I should do that sometime. There are some famous cities with lots of songs about them: Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, etc. Some with a lot less, but still maybe enough: San Fernando Valley? Who knows. I'll have to start looking. Two songs on this connection do not have the word City in the title. Track one and track eighteen. But they are so obviously songs about cities. The former about San Francisco and the latter about Detroit and the lyrics do use City a bit in each. If you are from the Bay Area (not a transplant and certainly not from LA) you know that San Francisco is never called San Francisco, never Frisco, never SF. It's always The City. With caps on "The." Even when you say it out loud. In Southern California, they always call it Frisco (even though it is wrong).
