It was less than a week ago that I posted part one of this Shake Your connection, so check that one out and all the other related Shake comps I have also already posted. Not really related is the Shaker post, which, I don't remember if I ever posted, but I did make it. Hmmm... I'll have to post it if I haven't already. I have posted quite a few of the WTC's with Shake as the title theme. This offshoot is Shake Your... There, obviously, are quite lot of your things you can shake and this covers many of them. A few doubles/covers, but I tried to separate them in one way or the other. I have a feeling that a lot of these are metaphors for your butt and some are just saying it. Here's a connection that is sort of like the ones from a couple of days ago, but instead of shaking it, we're the shakers. Sometimes, here, it means your booty and sometimes the earth. Every now and again it's about people doing things, but mostly it's about something on your body moving, or earthquakes. Coming from California I don't have an irrational fear of earthquakes (instead I have an irrational fear of tornados or hail.) Hopefully not about any booty part shaking. I tend to like that. I was inspired by a post on Butterboy's blog by Oniswa, so I made this connection. It has completely diferent tracks. Just my interpretation of it. Listen to both. I can't speak for the other one, but there were so many songs about the shakes (and I am pretty sure none of these have to do with Arby's Orange Creamsicle shakes, even though that's what's on the cover). When I started it, I wanted to use some of my favorites, but not duplicating any from the previous pick. I should say that KC was the first I thought of, but it really was The Cars. Not that it was my very favorite of these. It just popped into my head. The Limbomaniacs are probably the one band that's least known here. But this ep was produced by Bill Laswell. And this isn't even close to their best song, but it fits here.
