What's The Connection? Machines 1

This Connection is all songs with Machine in the title. There are a lot. I did do a couple of previous Disco Machine compilations and there are a couple of repeats, but that one was disco that sounded machine-like and this one has all sorts of genres. I have another coming, but in a little while. I like the Paul McCartney on this one. Also I used the Clock DVA track on my radio show: What's The Connection? back in the 80's and 90's. The John White & Gavin Bryars track is from an Obscure Records release and Gavin Bryars is the guy who also did Jesus Blood Never Fails Me (another cool track). Actually all these songs are very cool.

Disco Machine 2

Some more of the Disco Machine. Part two of this pick. You can find part one of Disco Machine here. Same metallic leopard cover and some machine like disco songs, plus a few just post disco. Michael Sembello and CCCP pretty much are at the edge of this. What I find funny is that disco became like this machine, pumping out songs that are still danceable today AND they made machine sounding songs that sounded like machines made it. Kind of weird that AI actually can make songs that don't sound like a machine, but are actually machine made. I think if I make a part three of this it would have to include Kraftwerk and Information Society. What do you think it should include?

Disco (Machine)

This is part of the Disco series, but not really part of the leopard series, because I went off track for a couple of them. Disco was accused of being robotic and machine like. And some of it was very much so. This highlights my favorite pick of the best machine like disco. The most influential of all is the Donna Summer which kind of started the whole Machine Soul genre that happened in the 80's (with Yello in here to showcase the alternative side of this whole thing.) I like how this whole playlist builds up in tempo. Notice how the cover has metallic leopard, to sort of tie the whole thing together, but not.
