What's The Connection? Sick Types

I started working on this connection some time ago. I got Covid and there's a whole story about that on some other post and it was still early before anyone really knew if it would be a pandemic or not and before anyone really understood if it was going to be very deadly to all people or not. I still think I lived because I was too stupid to figure out that I probably should have gone to the hospital. Got yelled at for that. But I had all the symptoms and I was what would be later called the at risk section of society. But there weren't many songs specifically about covid 19, but I did find all sorts of other types of things you could get. It's not about the type of people who get sick, but the types of sicknesses. For more click on Sick. I've had a couple of them. Pneumonia, Flu's, Cancer and diseases of the band, yes. Luckily no heart attacks or anthrax poisoning or asthma. The last thing we want is to get sick at the beginning of the year. So happy new year's day and I hope you are not sick with a fever. But if you are, or if you get a fever later this year, at least you will be armed with two connections of Fever songs. Volume one was a month or so ago. Here is the feverish link. And today is volume two. I like them both. This one does not have anything on fire, although you may feel like you are on fire with a high enough fever. Cool down, drink liquids and talk to your doctor. Also Soft Kitty helps. One of my favorites on here is Brian Eno's version of Fever and the Sylvers track right after it., but enjoy all of them. You can't enjoy Fela Kuti, but he's coming later.

While we are on the subject of being sick, the biggest, most common symptom is a fever. This connection has being on fire and fever in the title. There are tons of these kids of songs, so there will be another volume, I'm sure. One of my favorites is the novelty song by Buckner & Garcia. Pretty funny and also a decent song. A few of these songs don't really have anything to do with being sick, but what the hell. Enjoy them anyway. I won't make you sing Soft Kitty.

Ok, this one was fun to do while I had some of these symptoms. I'm not a hypchondriac but I sure came up with these pretty fast. Unlike the last connection yesterday, these are a little bit more fun and yet still go all over the place. I started this one while I was getting sick songs and figured some didn't quite belong. There are a hundered songs with Fever in the title, but not too many with diarrhea, So I put one of my favorites in the fever category (know that an all fever one is coming but not using Eno's Fever) and added Puking, Wheezing, Nausea, Aches, etc all in this one.

More of the Sick Connections. This one is about virus being in the title. We've all had a bit of an experience with viruses over the last few years. Here are some virus songs for when your government locks you up again (or you are driving alone in your car wearing a mask) and you want something to listen to. There weren't many "pop" songs that are happy sounding, but I put what I could. I am sure I am missing something. Maybe a good country song with virus in the title? What's The Connection? Sick Diseased

When covid first hit I was working from home and wasn't going out but a few times a year (nothing was scheduled at that time) but somehow I got covid. My wife who was working out in the workforce never got covid, but I did. I probably should have gone to the hospital, but never did. I took O2 readings etc, but didn't talk to my doctor until several weeks passed. She looked at my history of readings and said I should have gone to the hospital long ago. I am glad I didn't. I ended up getting better, following what people later said was bogus advice. Fortunately it worked for me. But put that aside. I was sick and felt diseased and definitely was infected, so I came up with this connection. Didn't finish it until later, but this was the start of a few Sick compilations. I hope you enjoy it more than being sick.
