Rice Balls

After yesterday's post, I am not sure if this pick can be worse. But I am trying. Some of these tracks were on yesterday's playlist, but I added to them to stay in the Asian field. Unlike Pocohantas, I really have Asian DNA, so I can make fun of part of myself. I'm not sure if some of these are disparaging slurs or were meant as such when they were written, but they could be seen as such. Heck, I was looking for that. All I can say is that I can live without a lot of things, but one I would have trouble with is rice. I could do without bread or potato, but rice would be hard to give up. Rice balls, bowls of rice, rice treats. Yumm! Indonesian rice, Indian rice, Spanish rice, Vietnamese rice balls, they're all good. Has nothing to do with these songs, but now you know more about me.

Just a few weeks ago I posted a mixtape that I called Ik Ben Blauwe which is a slur against my racial heritage, but the songs weren't very stereotyped. These are. This pick is a wide variety of songs that stereotype a bunch of races. Arabs and Jews. Hispanic and Asian (I'll have more of these coming soon - I get a kick out of these especially since I am part Asian). Islands from Japan, Philipines and Vietnam are also covered. I get that many of these might be considered "off limits" to play nowadays, but they were recorded by some big name artists at one time or another. And I am not above going past what you should do. BTW, for those of you who do not know, the title is even worse than the songs. It is what some border patrol people (informally) call illegal aliens that they apprehend at the border when they try to cross without getting caught. I'm told it's the sound of a flashlight hitting someone's head as they resist arrest. I know. It's pretty bad. BTW, the cover is a caricature of my face.
