I've always like Wall Of Voodoo since the first moment I heard them. Sure I liked Stan Ridgway and I will probably post his pick later, but with or without him, they just tickled my fancy. Sort of new wave, sort of western, sort of sci-fi, sort of punk. Reminds me of the TV show Firefly. Not sure if any Wall Of Voodoo songs made it on there, but it wouldn't have been out of place. Sidenote: Joss Whedon is great. And each of those actors have not done anything better before or since. Wall Of Voodoo was great, too. From their first ep to the later stuff that seems only to have played in Australia: It's all good! Listen to my pick and tell me I'm wrong. From the first track to the last, it just grabs you. Even the weird B-Side that's sort of an instrumental, but isn't. The last track I first heard as a hidden bonus track on some radio only promo cassette. Not radio friendly at all. Brilliant!
