Television was a great band and this pick shows that they each had playing power. Tom Verlaine, Billy Ficca and the Richards (Lloyd and Hell) started it early on. Three of them in the Neon Boys. Hell left after a bit in Television and started the Voidoids and also played with the Heartbreakers (Johnny Thunder's band). Fred Smith took his place. Fred had played with an early version of what became Blondie. Ficca played with the Waitresses and a several others. Lloyd had a couple solo albums and did a track with Chris Stamey. Verlaine had many albums and yesterday you got a lot from that. He also guested on several other tracks from different bands, including Patti Smith, the Violent Femmes, Luna, the Million Dollar Bashers and the Waterboys. I included a couple of tracks from Television's first album and one live track from San Francisco.
