Beat The Case Of The Nerves

The fancy title is because I was looking at some Erle Stanley Gardner books as I was coming up with it. He wrote all the Perry Mason books (and as AA Fair wrote my favorite detective novels with Bertha Cool and Donald Lam). All his Perry Mason books are titled "The Case of the ..." and when the main protaganists of the band The Nerves end up being The Beat and Peter Case, it just made sense in my head. Really it's The Nerves Family Pick. Nerves became the Breakaways which turned into solo stuff for Jack Lee, The Beat (later Paul Collins Beat) and The Plimsouls which led to Peter Case solo. These guys are semi famous. Their songs ended up in Caddyshack, and Valley Girls as well as covers by Blondie that went ballistic. I liked most all of it. I have saved a few tracks to be used only in solo picks, so don't despair if your favorites aren't there yet. But these are my very favorites of each. I know it's Halloween, but I decided to send you to another site (Groovy Library) for some great Halloween tracks instead of posting some myself. George did a great job with Halloween this year!

Wall Of Voodoo Pick

I've always like Wall Of Voodoo since the first moment I heard them. Sure I liked Stan Ridgway and I will probably post his pick later, but with or without him, they just tickled my fancy. Sort of new wave, sort of western, sort of sci-fi, sort of punk. Reminds me of the TV show Firefly. Not sure if any Wall Of Voodoo songs made it on there, but it wouldn't have been out of place. Sidenote: Joss Whedon is great. And each of those actors have not done anything better before or since. Wall Of Voodoo was great, too. From their first ep to the later stuff that seems only to have played in Australia: It's all good! Listen to my pick and tell me I'm wrong. From the first track to the last, it just grabs you. Even the weird B-Side that's sort of an instrumental, but isn't. The last track I first heard as a hidden bonus track on some radio only promo cassette. Not radio friendly at all. Brilliant!

Wall Of Voodoo Pick

01 Wall Of Voodoo - Back In Flesh
02 Wall Of Voodoo - Longarm
03 Wall Of Voodoo - There's Nothing On This Side

19 Wall Of Voodoo - Granma's House
20 Wall Of Voodoo - Dance You Fuckers

Shriekback Pick

My pick today is of the band Shriekback. They came from Gang Of Four and XTC, both great bands. And have had various other artists contribute over the years, but none of that is relevant for me. They are a weird funky new wave band with art rock pretensions and weird vocals. They're from England. Who gives a shit? (quoting Casey Kasem about another band). All I know is that there are a few tracks that when I first heard them, I was blown away. I included them on this compilation. Listen to the first three tracks and the last track. Not that the others aren't good, they are, but those were the ones that I think were pivotal for me at different times. None sound like XTC (except maybe there are some similarities between the last track and XTC's track Dear God). But just a little. These guys are just on their own track. The bass lines are amazing. They continued making albums after the 90's (I own some until 2019), but this only covers the earlier stuff (and to me, the best stuff)

Shriekback Pick

01 Shriekback - Lined Up
02 Shriekback - My Spine (Is The Bass Line)
03 Shriekback - Nemesis (Extended Mix)
04 Shriekback - Feelers

13 Shriekback - Mercy Dash
14 Shriekback - Hand On My Heart
15 Shriekback - Get Down Tonight
16 Shriekback - Gunning For The Buddah

Moments In Time

I was listening to a lot of Tom Verlaine recently and got stuck on the Luna here. It made me think of  Velvet Underground and Creedence Clearwater Revival. That led to the rest of this pick. I ended up with Badgeman instead of Joy Division or New Order for no good reason except that I usually would have gone with the other versions. I liked the newer Blue Oyster Cult, even though I usually pick older BoC if I make a mixtape like this. I struggled with which Patti Smith I wanted to use, but ended up with the Springsteen cover. Several of these I picked songs I wouldn't normally use, even though I like them. I just usually like them third or fourth pick, but to me they all just fit in the mix better this time. Magazine, The Fall, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Jesus And Mary Chain and the Cure all fall into that category. For me Masami Tsuchiya (from Ippu Du) and REM just had to be in here. Each of all these songs seemed like a moment in time, hence the name. Nothing to do with Whitney Houston.

Moments In Time

01 The Jesus And Mary Chain - Sidewalking
02 REM - Everybody Hurts
03 Masami Tsuchiya - Rice Music

13 The Golden Palominos - Omaha
14 Magazine - Permafrost
15 The Cure - A Forest
16 Luna - 23 Minutes In Brussels

Negativland

Look these guys up if you don't know them. This is my pick of their "songs" They are sometimes called moments of plunderphonics. I don't know about that. It doesn't sound at all like John Oswald, but perhaps the way they make the songs uses that technique. This pick covers a bunch of albums and singles and EP's and is just my favorites from the band. I have no idea if they are still around or not. It would be a shame if they weren't. One of my favorite live shows ever was this band. Brilliant! Negativland were from the Bay Area when I lived there. From Concord, Contra Costa County which is kind of not known for being a crazy part of the state. In fact pretty middle class white bread wine drinking soccer moms is the perception. But then this came from there. So maybe the perception is wrong. I included the song that got them in a big lawsuit with U2's management (not so much the band). I also included songs from their self-produced Seeland records and from the SST records. Perhaps not all their most well known songs, but all my favorites. Look for the albums. Some are handmade and well worth owning. Buy them all. Eleven. (if you know, you know) Always cracks me up and I'm not talking about Spinal Tap.

01 Negativland - Bite Back
02 Negativland - Car Bomb

15 Negativland - Yellow Black And Rectangular
16 Negativland - 16
17 Negativland - You Must Choose

TV Family

Television was a great band and this pick shows that they each had playing power. Tom Verlaine, Billy Ficca and the Richards (Lloyd and Hell) started it early on. Three of them in the Neon Boys. Hell left after a bit in Television and started the Voidoids and also played with the Heartbreakers (Johnny Thunder's band). Fred Smith took his place. Fred had played with an early version of what became Blondie. Ficca played with the Waitresses and a several others. Lloyd had a couple solo albums and did a track with Chris Stamey. Verlaine had many albums and yesterday you got a lot from that. He also guested on several other tracks from different bands, including Patti Smith, the Violent Femmes, Luna, the Million Dollar Bashers and the Waterboys. I included a couple of tracks from Television's first album and one live track from San Francisco.

TV Pick

TV in this pick stands for both Television and Tom Verlaine. I picked tracks from the first single and the first two albums, plus one from the reunion album. The rest is spread out over many of the Tom Verlaine solo albums. Nothing live (see tomorrow for a live track). If you know either of the TV's, you know how great guitar playing is or was since he's now dead. And you probably have an idea how his vocals were, so I won't get into any of that. And tomorrow I will have the family pick. Just listen to this and once again be amazed at his work. I'm sorry if I missed one of your favorite tracks. It was hard to pare it down to just these. I had fun with the cover.

Dolby Family

Yesterday was my pick of solo Thomas Dolby, but I also said that he worked with a lot of other artists. Not surprising as he's a great keyboard player and musician. All these tracks in today's pick have him featured in one way or another. He wrote or cowrote some of the songs. He played on on most all of them, too. And I through in some solo stuff that I didn't fit in yesterday. Only two tracks are duplicated and they have different versions here. Soft Boys and Robyn Hitchcock is pretty obvious. As is the George Clinton as they worked together on several projects. Lene Lovich appeared on his solo stuff (and wouldn't it be cool to hear Dolby's version of this song he wrote?). The two that I was initially surprised about was Foreigner and Def Leppard! It makes sense when you listen to the tracks. See the influence on Foreigner by listening to Dolby's song Urges. You can hear his sound on both though. It's less obvious on the Ofra Haza and the Belinda Carlisle, but listen carefully.  Anyway, have fun with this one. I did. Notice the covers for today and yesterday. I played off the Dolby brand with the font. Added his picture subtly, and added some spacey, electric background textures. Fun.

Dolby Family

01 Soft Boys - Evil Guy
02 Thomas Dolby - Europa And The Pirate Twins

Dolby Pick

This pick is a pick of my favorite Thomas Dolby songs. Tomorrow, I will have his family pick, but today just his solo work as Thomas Dolby and one track as Dolby's Cube. I did not include his appearance with Roger Waters on The Wall, although that was interesting and good. If I had any songs that appear here and tomorrow, I made sure to use a different version, but I think there are only one or two at most that are repeated. He does have a compilation or two, but these are my favorites. Retrospectacle and the 12x12 have different tracks and order. Frankly, some of his stuff is amazing and some is more so so. None of it is consistent in one way and yet it is obviously his work when you look at it from another. I've seen him play live and he's worth hearing live. He's a geek playing with technology and it's cool to watch. BTW, you'll see more tomorrow, but he's playing with people on these tracks like George Clinton , Robyn Hitchcock, Lene Lovich, etc and that's just cool, too.

Dolby Pick

01 Thomas Dolby - Europa And The Pirate Twins (Extended Version)
02 Dolby's Cube - May The Cube Be With You

Toy Dolls Pick

I know already. There are greatest hits compilations of Toy Dolls songs, but they aren't always the same as my pick. I started listening to the Toy Dolls with Dig That Groove Baby in the early 80's. Along with the Dickies and the Ramones, these guys were in my favorite punk bands list. Hard to say, because I had so many I really liked including the Descendents, Agent Orange, Ribzy, Buzzcocks. Way too many. Anyway the first time I heard Spiders in the Dressing Room and Nellie the Elephant and then Olga, I Cannot, I knew they were a band for me to buy every album, every single. And I did. Since they weren't an American band, I had to buy imports to get them right away at first. Later, since they really had no hits, I still had to get the imports. Oh Well. I played them on my Surf Punk show and later on pretty much every show I did (except for the reggae show and the prog show). Saw them live whenever they came to town. They were fun, they were fast, These are my favorites from them through the years. I know they have others that are equally good. Sorry. You should buy all their albums anyway.

The Tubes Pick

I was very lucky to see the Tubes live several times. As an MC I even got to introduce them at two of their final last live concerts. They never quite got that to stick until most of them died. I know they have many greatest hits albums and all of them are quite good. But for this pick I chose my favorites. Some are "hits" and some are not even close, but I like them. Take for instance Malaguena Salerosa, I just love that song in general and have even made a pick of versions of that song. But was it a hit? No. But most of their songs weren't close to being hits, no matter how great they were. This includes songs from many of their albums but not all and you should get them all. They are all good. The first time I heard some of these songs, I was blown away. Been a fan ever since. I had fun with the cover.

What's The Connection? Hallelujah

Lots of people have done fabulous versions of Leonard Cohen's amazing song. Here are a few. John Cale had a hit with his version. Jeff Buckley was more recent. We have different genres covering it. I'm sure there are plenty of other versions, but this connection has my top 17 that I have. I have a few others, but not enough for volume two yet. Slow Poof 3

I wasn't sure I was going to make a third volume of this pick. I mean, I wanted to make a bunch, since I like this stuff. Look at the previous Pop Ambient Slow Poofs. But it was difficult for me to get just the right songs. And I didn't. I found a couple. And then I found others that kind of fit. I wasn't too happy with it. But I listened to it several times. I moved a few songs and I'm kinda happy with the way it turned out. Unless you send me a few ideas for volume four, it probably won't happen for awhile. So enjoy this while you can.

Tuxedomoon Pick

This is not a complete Tuxedomoon pick, because it only goes from 1978 to 1986. I almost added a song from 1987 (You) but I didn't. They have albums going for another decade and a half at least (I have albums to 2014), but I had to pick my favorites. These are them. And I know that Tuxedomoon fans will chastise me for leaving off some other great tracks. Sorry. Thats just the way it goes. I do have one of their first singles here from before their first album. Some people think of these guys as a San Francisco band (and they were from the Bay Area) but they relocated to the Netherlands for awhile and then to Belgium where they were for quite some time. So some people think of them as a Belgian band. Really they are a band of the world. I hope you like my pick of them.

17 Tuxedomoon - Atlantis

Until December Consolidated

Instead of calling this a pick, it's just a consolidation of the lead singer of Until December and the band he changed to: Consolidated. I'm so clever. Not. But these guys are from the Bay Area. They were almost a big name in show business. They kind of just missed their opportunity and their brushes with success were marred by the way they were. As Until December, they had some cool music that could fit in right next to Depeche Mode and similar music, but they were so militant about their B&D and gay-ness that the public was not ready for it to be so in the face. Too bad because they had some great tracks. And when the lead singer left to start Consolidated, he just became so militant about an activist communistic vegan lifestyle that it took away from the actual songs being pretty darn good. They had a good sense of humor. They do not sound like the band they came from. The last song is them with rapper Paris (another activist, but for the Black Panthers) who also had his own great raps and guested on this one track with these boys. He did not have a sense of humor. Kind of a dick, but some good songs. One that I play at most of my gigs still to this day.

Family Beat

I started with thinking of doing a Specials Family pick, but never really got too far, since Terry Hall died and everyone made pretty good picks with him at the center of the pick. They were pretty good, so I transitioned to The (English) Beat. They had a nice selection, but I never really finished it. So I made the hard decisions and axed a bunch of stuff and was left with this. Obviously: The Beat, Fine Young Cannibals (and their offshoot 2 Men A Drum Machine and a Trumpet which I really liked), General Public and then some solo appearances. I did not include any of Saxa's appearances. Sorry. But Ranking Roger solo and with the Easy Star All Stars, Sting, Big Audio Dynamite and (my favorite) as Rude Boy in the Scooby Doo episode with the Ska Zombies. And Dave Wakeling solo. As well as both of them with separate reformed Beat's. I didn't include Pato Banton, except for the (English) Beat track. I wanted to include the Dub (English) Beat track from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but I had to cut somewhere. BTW,  I like the cover it looks real legit.

21 Rude Boy & The Ska-Tastics - Yer Dead Right Mate (Extended Version)
22 English Beat - Mirror In The Bathroom

What's The Connection? Obscure

This Obscure connection goes all over, but mostly progish. Probably because they want it to be obscured. A couple of Obscura songs that aren't prog and some straight up Rock N Roll. It started becuase I always wanted to find a use for the Figures On A Beach song. I found it as a twelve inch single and it was poppy enough and weird enough for me to latch onto it. I used it on an another WTC about cameras, but I wanted to use it again. You will recognize all the bands on here, since all of them have been on one pick or another. They aren't being rescued from obscurity. None have been obscured. And now I have used all the versions of the word, I could. And the cover is fairly obscure too. I made it with an obscure background texture, a semi-transparent text and the logo.

Femmes Fatale 8

This is the last one for awhile. I have another two almost ready, but need to finish them up. Like all of this series, the even pick is a bit less mellow, while the odd pick is on the mellower side. Not sure why I did it that way, but I did. A couple of the artists on here that I will talk about. One is Romeo Void. This song was a local hit in the Bay Area at the time, but it wasn't the big, big hit, but I liked the song a lot. They were good in concert. I saw them in SF at a not so big club, they were quite good. The other band is Martha and the Muffins who were trying to rebrand as M+M at the time (it didn't quite work. They were from Canada. There was this girl who liked me and drove me around every now and again and she loved Martha and the Muffins a lot and would play a cassette of their music and Iended up liking them a lot. This was a later track, but i still liked the band. I remember going to Mexico with a different girl in the early 80's and having an amazing time. It was right around the time that Missing Persons (and the Motels) released their new songs that were getting played all over in the Mazatlan bars. We met the owners of Carlos and Charlies. It wasn't a big deal then, but was starting to take off. They loved this track. Back then you could get lobster dinner for two, several margaritas, appetizers, dessert, a mariachi band playing at your table, a caricature plus a generous tip for ten bucks. Perfect for a broke student like me! Had an amazing time and have been back to Mexico many, many times since. Back then no issues with cartels.

Femmes Fatale 7

It's been a while since I posted one of these picks. The original Femmes Fatale pick had six in the series (yes, I just updated the links on each) and I was working on the next four. I only finished two more. The odd numbered ones are more mellow than the even numbered ones. I still didn't put them all in one numbering system, even though I keep thinking I will. This one has more older songs, but I am working on a few more newer ones on number nine (any suggestions?)  All of these are ones I have liked for some time or another. Dorothy Lamour I always liked not just as a singer, but as an actress. I first saw her in Hope and Crosby Road Trip movies (I have all of them) but then I watched many of her other appearances in movies, got her singing on various media. I just like her. And yes, more than Virgina Mayo, sorry.

What's The Connection? Burgers

This connection came about because of the last few picks I had. Thinking of Tommy's Original Burger Shack and jonesing for a double cheeseburger with chili and wax peppers on the side. I had Jimmy Buffet ready and then a song I didn't use a "concerto" by Focus about hamburgers. It was twenty minutes long and I wanted to add more songs, so get that one on your own. It's good. A couple of these tracks have burger in the title, but really aren't about burgers, but I will let that slide. The DJ Otzi track I think was also called the fast food song, but here it is again as a burger song. It's mishmash so enjoy it. Pay me Thursday for this compilation today!

Facsimile

This pick was fun to make and there are a hundred other songs I could have included (tell me your favorites that I missed).Tried to get a secondary theme, but I couldn't hold it. I added a country cover. Ooops. I added an INXS cover. Ooops. Nothing worked out the way I planned it. But either way it turned out well. I think if I had my albums laid out better, I might have found a bunch more. This is what I found/remembered. I didn't want to just call it a Rock covers compilation, although it kind of is. I called it a Facsimile, but I was thinking more of a copy of a copy, like the movie Multiplicity (which is why I used a still from that movie in the cover.) These covers are all good, but very different from the originals. And like the movie there is at least one that is kinda retarded (and by that I mean that I would listen to the original all day before putting this one on), but most are quite good.

John Rich Pick

John Rich, (today's pick) played in Lonestar, was half of Big & Rich, has a bunch of solo albums and EP's and has written tons of songs for a bunch of artists. My pick includes my favorites of those. I included the Lonestar songs, he wrote or was featured on (so not their huge hit). I did pick one song that Big & Rich did that he didn't write, but it was just too cool to leave off. Several of his songs that he wrote for other artists are here. And of course some of his patriotic favorites. You'll know many of them and hopefully will get to know a few new ones. If you haven't heard the one with the Oakridge Boys, please listen.

11 B

This pick is another new mixtape I put together. In gardening and landscaping they suggest always getting plants that fit the zone. The cover features a flower from Zone 11B. Which has nothing to do with any of the songs I picked. But they do all go together. I like that it is eclectic. a couple of Beatles solo and one Beatles. A few more covers. Not sure why, but I do like Figures On A Beach doing their cover of Bachman Turner Overdrive's song. I had one song that was country and added a second. And any compilation with Pearl Harbor & the Explosions is a good one.

Tommy's Paradise

Another fun mixtape. The title of this pick is Tommy's Paradise and the cover reflects that. Everywhere you go people have their favorite burger place. I moved to Texas and for the life of me I do not understand why so many people love Whataburger. I do not like it. In California and now around the states it was for many people In 'n' Out Burger and they'll do in a pinch. There's a bunch of good burger franchises. Five Guys, Mooyah all get great reviews. In your area, it may be something else. For me it was always Original Tommy's. It wasn't the shack (but that's how you knew it was original). It wasn't that they were all family owned and operated (although that helped.) It was because their burgers came with amazing chili. The fries came with chili and cheese on top. Oh so yummy! I'm sure they are not anywhere close to being healthy, but add some of their hot as hell chili's on the side and that would burn it off! Other than Jimmy Buffet none of these songs have anything to do with Tommy's but I am hankering for a double with and a side of fries with. Tell me your favorite burger place.

Fakin' Jamaican 6

I keep doing these picks. It started some time ago with a cassette tape, a mixtape for a buddy who said he hated reggae, but I knew he really didn't because he like all these bands that had faux reggae beats. So I made him a pick of what I called White Washed Reggae. Now it's Fakin Jamaican. It's expanded from there, but just a bit. So here's my latest installment. And just to be clear these picks bear little to no resemblance to the original tape. But the idea is similar. I still have some tracks that I have been holding on to for future installments.

Fakin' Jamaican 6

Life's Good

You'll see there is a difference between yesterday's pick and today. But there is also some similarity. I had some of these tracks in yesterday's pick, but moved them here because it was more appropriate. I told you about Joe Walsh being here, yesterday. The Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis was moved too. I already had Jimmy Buffett, so that was moved here. I also moved the Travis Tritt cover to this one. Frankie Goes To Hollywood just fit better here as did Byron Lee (one of the best soca songs ever - I think better than most all else). One of my favorites is the Jorge Buccio. If you haven't visited Puglias in Little Italy in New York (Hester and Mulberry), you haven't lived. Jorge plays there and is amazing. Family style Italian food and him playing and singing. Tell him I sent you. You will have a good time. You'll understand his song after you go. The cover is inspired by the clothing company. But I did it my way.

20 Flying Burrito Brothers - Lazy Days

Slow Down To Look

This was fun to make, but perhaps not as easy to explain. I had a couple of  songs to start out with. The Eagles, Rupert Holmes, Jimmy Buffet, Toby Keith were there. I didn't want to just have a music of getting drunk songs, but more of an I'm buzzed and happy, not doing anything especially important feeling. So John Cruz came about, Zac Brown, Bob Marley. Notice that the version I have from John Cruz is his original version, not the live one with Jack Johnson and Jackson Brown (I just like it better). I almost added Joe Walsh, but decided it would make a better pick with him tomorrow. A couple of the songs I almost didn't add, but did anyway. And one I almost forgot, but am really glad I added (Queen). Too perfect for this. The title is from the Eagles and the cover I put together has Winslow in the background, although the Truck is from a different state. I always feel like Penn and Teller in Fool Us when I write these things. Enough information, but sort of in code.

SoS

This is a pick of non related songs, except by the closeness of the Camelot Key to Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits. I didn't do a RIYL (Recommended If You Like) because the songs don't sound like that song, but they are mixable with that song. Sort of. I've listened to it several times and there are some surprising segues, but not too jarring. It's pretty listenable in that order, even though the BPM's vary, they tend to go up in energy and then drop back down with a key change. I tried to make it as smooth as possible, without staying completely true to the premise. Just fun. A few of the bands, I stayed away from their biggest hits, but for some it just worked out. Hopefully, there are a couple of tracks that will surprise you (in a good way). I like that the morse code is NOT Sultans of Swing. Although that would have been funny for the few people that know morse code.

Country Beatles

This isn't fair, but the Beatles together and solo did have country influences in their music. Some is in this pick. Personally, I think the Stones did country better (see Country Stones), but the Beatles did have some good songs that really sound country. Some just have that hint of country flavor. That doesn't make the songs bad. No, in fact, some of them are excellent Beatles songs with a Beatles sound. Ringo was a big country fan. He had a whole country album as a solo artist and several of the Beatles tracks with a real country flair are featuring Ringo. But all of them had some country influences. I know I could have picked a bunch of others. Let me know if I missed a really obvious one (especially solo stuff), but here's my pick of countrified Beatles. BTW, I love this cover! My first attempt at AI.

26 Beatles - Honey Don't

Yoko Ono Pick

There are some people who will just ignore this pick, but they would be silly to do so. There are some people who will say that she does not belong in the Beatles family posts, but they would be wrong. Yoko Ono deserves better than she has gotten. I have no idea how she is as a person, but she's been a pioneering force in music. Decades later there are still bands discovering how amazing she is. These are some of my favorites of hers. I love the tracks (4 & 5) with Frank Zappa and the Mothers (with Yoko in the bag). The newer stuff with her son Sean is amazing too. The almost jazzy rock with Voorman is brilliant. The stuff that ended up being remixed relentlessly (although I posted the original versions) is great. She got rediscovered again by dance music. And of course the first track which is one of my favorites. To me, this is all good.

Yoko Ono Pick

01 Yoko Ono - Walking On Thin Ice
02 Yoko Ono - Why
03 Yoko Ono - Why Not
04 John & Yoko Plastic Ono Band - Scumbag
05 John & Yoko Plastic Ono Band - Au

12 Yoko Ono - Open Your Box
13 Yoko Ono - Talking To The Universe
14 Yoko Ono - Death of Samantha
15 Yoko Ono - It's Been Very Hard

Beatles Family

I figured I might as well post this one too. So far you've gotten Solo Beatles the last two days, just the sons, rockin, weird, beatlesque and now this one. It's got tracks from each son (mostly dupes from the sons pick) although for Dhani I used his tribute to dad with Prince doing an amazing solo. And for Zak I used a track with him and The Who. I included the Steve Miller, Elton John and David Bowie because it has guest spots from Beatles. Same with the solo Ringo Starr tracks. I picked the solo Linda McCartney because it has James on it. The Paul McCartney track also has his family on bacground vocals. The George Harrison tracks are about the Beatles and has Ringo on both tracks and one of them also has Paul and Linda (and Denny Laine). The John Lennon track has Paul on it. The Yoko track (I will eventually post my pick of my favorites of hers) has John on it and it's one of my favorites. Two Beatles tracks. One is the last one of the reconstructed Beatles tracks I hadn't used yet (see the last two days). And one has the fifth Beatle (Billy Preston) on it. He was pretty much family. The order is by BPM. The cover bugs me, but I like it anyway. It's hard to find a photo with everyone of the family members. I had one with all the wives, one with the "main" wives and none with all the kids. I chose this one with each Beatle and one kid as a baby each. Not fair to the other kids, sorry. Not fair to the wives. Only Linda is partially visible. To me, I only would have considered Linda, Yoko, Barbara and Olivia, even though they all had at least one other major love. I consider the others all tragic stories in one way or another.
