Happy Birthday to Me!

Indulge me. It's my birthday today. So here are some of my favorite birthday songs (I do have a volume 2, but that will have to wait for next year). My very favorite Birthday song is from the Sheriff John TV show. I swear that Sheriff John sang this song to ME when I was a kid. He saw that I had a birthday right through the TV set! Anyway I have sung this song for birthdays ever since. Although for years I had no idea it was called the Happy Birthday Polka. It was always Put Another Candle On The Birthday Cake. Hopefully your favorite birthday song is on this playlist pick, If not you'll have to leave it in the comments and I'll tell you if it's in volume 2 (or maybe volume 3 if I ever finish that one). By the way this is posted at 7am. Is that coincidence? I don't think so.

  1. I like that Sheriff John ditty! My all-time favorite Birthday song is "The Magician's Birthday" by Uriah Heep. During my younger days, I used to listen to "It's Johnny's Birthday" off the bonus LP from George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. A couple others I enjoy - "Birthday Girl" by Van Atta High, and "Antonella's Birthday" by Tommy Emmanuel.

  2. Happy Birthday Pol. Stay healthy, happy and creative.
I'm not a fan of Concrete Blonde, but since I heard "Happy Birthday" I said: That's a nice birthday song

    1. I was lucky enough to meet Napolitano and Mankey just about Dream 6 was ending and they were finishing up with the first few songs as Concrete Blonde. Very nice guys, very proud of their new name. Soft and hard at the same time. I can't say that I like everything they've done, but I am a fan!
