I first heard the very early Ministry. Work For Love, Everyday Is Halloween. I liked the dance music. I would dance to it at the clubs where they played that stuff. Back then it was Thursday nights at the Cabaret. One of the only places in town where they would play New Wave. They had bands play live on Fridays and Saturdays. I MC'd the "Last Night Ever" for the Tubes twice (once there). But good handcuff music on Thursdays. Ministry did not play there. I saw them just about when their new album was coming out. At a new hip club. They promoted the show with the two aforementioned songs. That is not what they played. They played stuff from Twitch and The Land Of Rape And Honey! And much, much harder versions of their dance "hits". It was amazing! I saw them on so many tours and they got better and better. My daughter was still in the belly and she heard both Ministry and RevCo so much that later when she was born she would use them (and Blue Monday) as songs to go to sleep. Not to get political about it, but it was one of the reasons I changed my mind about the abortion issue. It was Ministry. I know they would be unhappy to know it. Sorry, man.
