This pick is something different. For years I have had a Velvet Underground album that was labeled with almost nothing. Their name. 1966. And Side One and Side Two. Was just over twenty minutes per side. I have looked this up for years and it rarely was on bootleg discographies and definitley not on official sites. But I am pretty sure I have tracked it down. It's not quite the same. Times are different. But the essentials are the same. It showed up as the first track and last track of bonus discs 5 and 6 to the CD box of the Velvet Underground and Nico 45th anniversary edition. There the tracks have names. Melody Laughter and Nothing Song. I am including all four tracks so you can hear the differences. A record made twenty or thirty years ago (probably in the nineties) and a CD box set. Still only a couple of tracks, but they are good. The bonus discs also include live versions of more well known songs which are pretty decent too. So you still have to get the box set to get all the extras. This is just about the one bootleg I had. It was from a Columbus Ohio show in 1966 at the Valleydale Ballroom. Shorter times on the LP since they had a limit.
