George Young Pick

Kind of fun to pick this compilation of George Young. Some know of him as half of Vanda & Young (songwriters and producers). Some know him from The Easybeats and Friday On My Mind. Others know of him as the older brother of Angus and Malcom (AC-DC). Fewer know of him in Flash And The Pan (my favorite is Hey St. Peter, but that isn't even their biggest hit.) Waiting For A Train was their biggest hit, but I bet you know Walking In The Rain because Grace Jones took that one up the charts. Either way George is in the Hall of Fame as part of Vanda & Young and probably for The Easybeats. He wrote or co-wrote some great songs and was partially responsible for AC-DC. Listening to some of these classic songs and you will hear his greatness. From the first 11 minute single to hit the charts (in Australia) to everything the Easybeats did. It's good to know he was busy until he died at 70.
