This is only a two part pick, but could easily have been 10 times that. Bill Laswell is a bass player, but he's also a producer, artist, businessman, engineer and everything else. I like best that he brings people together to make different kinds of art. Listen to the tracks on these two volumes and notice how different (and how the same) they sound.
