These are all math connected songs. Because we need to use math at least once after school. Actually there are so many songs related to math, mostly because math is related to everything. I was watching that new series on Apple TV called Foundation, based, loosely, on the Isaac Asimov Foundation series of books. The whole premise is a new kind of math. It's not as boring as I make it out to be. It really is everything.
"Don't know much trigonometry
Don't know much about algebra Don't know what a slide rule is for
But I do know one and one is two"
So here is my "What's The Connection?" about Math. Not just songs with Math in the title, but also Adding and Subtracting and Multiplication and Division. Even more basic: down to Counting. I made sure to not use any Kids music. There are hundreds of great kids songs about math, too. As it is, I know I missed a few obvious ones, so if you catch them, let me know which ones in the comments below. And how do you like the cover?

You come up with brilliant ideas. Some of the tracks are really good too. At the moment, I can only think of The Beatles "Come Together" (one and one and one is three). I like the cover, Pi symbol and all.
ReplyDeleteNever even thought of Come Together! Great choice!
