Top Pick Albums 1985

Yesterday was my Top Pick songs and today it is my top ten pick albums for 1985. Like each month it is the top ten songs (to me) of those albums and then a second side (next ten) of my other favorite song of each. I do have to say that one of these albums I would not choose if it was now. And that is the Cocteau Twins. Not because I don't still love it, but that my rules changed later. In 1985 they put out The Pink Opaque, which is a compilation album. I separated those out later. At the time, I had an ep by them and this, in the US, was the first album I bought of theirs. I'm pretty sure I knew fairly quickly that it was a compilation though.FIshbone came out this year and I ended up seeing them live millions of times. They were so great. Saw them with the Chili Peppers many times, once on this tour opening for Run DMC (ask me about that show). Disappointed with Run DMC but the other two were brilliant. George Clinton was at the show. I partied with the man. PMRC was everywhere, New Order and Kate Bush hit their peak. It was a good year for albums.
