Bowling is an American pastime. Other countries do bowl, but it's a bit different in each country. In Canada, they use smaller balls and less pins, in the UK it's more Lawn Bowling. In Japan, it's pretty hi-tech and probably includes karaoke. In the US, we bowl while drinking beers and shooting guns (I'm kidding). No guns needed, but beers may be likely, except for kids parties. I actually was a DJ at a bowling alley bar. We had a dance floor, a bar, lights, the whole works, People bowled, drank and danced. Great gig. Sometimes I had a packed bar and sometimes it was just me, the bartender, a cocktail waitress and the local drunk (who was there daily).
