Lots of songs that could be included on a connection of Getting Up. I wanted to use Jorge Buccio's Napkin Song since the main lyric is Get Up repeated over and over. But it doesn't have it in the title. But that's what started this WTC. I kept these to songs that started with Get Up. Most don't have anything else in the title although a few include an "and" something. I did break that random rule at least once. Which of these Get Up songs gets you up?

ReplyDeleteA bit like you, my first association with Get Up was a song that did not have it in the title. No not James Brown (Get Up, Get Into it, Get Involved, or Get up offa that thing) Or Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye (first whispers get up) For me it is Desmond Dekker - Israelites
There are many a great tune (Bob Marley, Afrika Bambaataa, Freddie James, Technotronic, Teddy Pendergrass, Maria Verano, Roger (Troutman), UK Players, Richard "Groove" Holmes, (South African) Image, That awful metal band The Mentors, The Martian) so many
Some of those I know (well) but a few that I need to search out. Knowing your taste, they're going to be good
